STAT: Antonio Conte’s management of Eden Hazard’s playing time crucial to Chelsea success

Eden Hazard has rediscovered the form that led to him being named the PFA Player of the Year in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign of 2014/15, and it’s no surprise that the Blues are on their way to another Premier League title with Hazard on song.

Antonio Conte has been crucial to Hazard getting back to his best after an off-colour season in 2015/16, with the Italian manager’s motivational skills clearly getting through to the Belgian star.

One overlooked aspect of the way Conte has managed Hazard is how carefully the 26-year-old’s playing time has been managed this season, as this stat shows.

Hazard benefits from Chelsea often jumping out to big leads, which allows Conte to bring him off and get him some extra rest, and he’s certainly looked more fresh this season, helping him fire on all cylinders.

How crucial has this been to Chelsea’s success?
