After starring in his debut season for Manchester United, when he was the club’s leading goalscorer, Anthony Martial has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team second time around.

The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has pushed the Frenchman down the pecking order for a central striking position, and on the wings, Martial must contend with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, even Wayne Rooney.

Despite his struggles, Martial remains one of the Red Devils’ most potent scorers, as our friends over at Who Scored show in the stats below.

Even accounting for Ibrahimovic’s phenomenal form this season, which will no doubt see him jump to the top of this list once he crosses 25 Premier League appearances, Martial would be among United’s best at finding the back of the net.

In fact, since August 2015 only Rashford has scored with more regularity than Martial in a United shirt.
