A bout of injury concerns from last week have left Fantasy Premier League managers with some shuffling around to do.

Below are the three midfielders you may want to replace Philippe Coutinho with and also a look at why you should captain Harry Kane this week.

But first, a shout out to these tactical geniuses who top our Sport360 fans league going into this week!

WHO TO PICK AS CAPTAIN

Philippe Coutinho [8.8m] was the pick last week and unfortunately, the Brazilian’s Gameweek was an unforeseeable disaster. The Liverpool star suffered a horrendous injury in the first half which makes him a long-term absentee.

Harry Kane [10.9m] however, is back in action for Tottenham, back among the goals and fresh from a contract extension. Swansea City have consistently leaked goals this season and are bound to concede at White Hart Lane.

If goals are on the cards then the odds are that Kane will find himself on the score sheet.

Roberto Firmino [8.8m] is an alternative if you want a straight swap for Coutinho and does face AFC Bournemouth away. However, the Brazilian is a slight injury doubt and isn’t guaranteed a place in the starting line-up.

THREE MIDFIELDERS TO DRAFT IN

GYLFI SIGURDSSON [Swansea City- 7.3m]

The Swansea star is in stunning form. In the last six weeks, he’s failed to register a goal or assist only once, scoring a total of 40 points at an average of 6.66 points per week.

At only 7.3m, he represents great value as well and the Swans have some favourable fixtures coming up beyond their trip to White Hart Lane this weekend.

He’s on penalties and free-kicks as well and is one of the more consistent performers.

PEDRO [Chelsea – 7.3m]

Chelsea take on Manchester City this weekend but given that he’s valued at just 7.3m, it’s worth getting Pedro in as soon as possible as a replacement for Coutinho after he starred in the win over Tottenham last week.

The Blues have a phenomenal run of fixtures in December before facing a challenging schedule in January so it would serve you well to capitalise on their games during the festive period.

If you don’t have Eden Hazard in your side or can’t afford to bring him in, Pedro standout as a superb alternative. He’s scored 48 points in the last six rounds at an average of 8 points per week.

THEO WALCOTT [Arsenal – 7.9m]

If you haven’t already sprung for Alexis Sanchez (11.4m) then Theo Walcott is a superb alternative. He’s enjoying his most consistent season in front of goal and is real value for money.

The Englishman has finally established himself in the Arsenal starting line-up and faces some kind fixtures beginning with West Ham United this weekend.

Also, he’s bound to score again soon if he wants that coffee machine! (see below)
