Former Arsenal greats Robert Pires, Jens Lehmann and Nwankwo Kanu have urged the club’s supporters to keep faith in manager Arsene Wenger.

With Premier League rivals Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all splashing the cash this summer, the north London club’s fans have grown frustrated with the lack of investment in the first team.

The rather modest acquisitions of Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Lucas Perez have done little to pacify Arsenal’s supporters who are desperate to win the league.

However, Pires, Lehmann and Kanu still believe Wenger is the right man for Arsenal.

Following their participation in the sell-out charity match at the Emirates Stadium where their Arsenal Legends side beat the Milan Glorie XI 4-2 on Saturday, the former Gunners implored the club’s fans to keep faith with the Frenchman.
