ROBLES SHOULD BE EVERTON’S NO1

The Everton stopper has taken his chance and it’s caused a dilemma for Martinez. In the last five games he’s started in place of Tim Howard, the Blues have conceded just once, to Man City, and won all five. Howard has come in for stick this term and now is the time to make Robles first-choice.

WEST BROM’S PASSING IS ABYSMAL

Against Newcastle, not a single West Brom starter had a passing accuracy above 75 per cent or completed more than 25 passes. That, in the Premier League, is simply shocking. Darren Fletcher completed the most with 23 and in a 45-minute spell, Sandro made a pitiful five and misplaced two of them.

SPURS TALK TITLE CHANCES UP

Leicester may be doing all they can to play down their chances of actually winning the Premier League, but Tottenham are doing the exact opposite. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have lost once, to the Foxes, in their last nine games, and have moved into second. Pochettino says his players believe they can win it.

GUNNERS’ BIGGEST GAME IS FOXES

The Champions League resumption is fast approaching with Arsenal set to take on Barcelona in the last 16 on Feb. 23. Before that, though, they face current leaders Leicester and arguably that is the bigger game. Barca are expected to come through that tie, so realistically the league title should be the aim.

CITY STRUGGLE AGAINST THE ELITE

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are yet to win in seven games against the current top six. Hardly title winning form is it? The 3-1 loss to Leicester followed up a 0-0 draw. They drew 2-2 with West Ham, were held to a goalless draw with Man United, beaten 2-1 by Arsenal and lost 4-1 to Tottenham.
