Cristiano Ronaldo has hired one of the world’s best bull fighters as his own personal bodyguard for the World Cup in Russia, The Sun reports.

The Real Madrid legend has employed ex-paratrooper and MMA athlete Nuno Marecos to provide close protection for him during the tournament.

Ronaldo, who was absent from Portugal’s warm-up friendly draw against Belgium in Brussels on Saturday night, is currently holidaying with his family in Marbella.

The 33-year-old posted a picture of him playing tennis earlier on Saturday.
