Champions League semi-finalists Bayern Munich name Niko Kovac as Jupp Heynckes successor

German giants Bayern Munich on Friday named Eintracht Frankfurt’s coach Niko Kovac as their new manager, succeeding Jupp Heynckes at the end of the season.

“We are convinced that he is the right coach for the future of Bayern,” Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said. The 46-year-old Croatian will get a three-year contract.
