Dani Alves underwent a medical on Monday as the finishing touches were put on his Barcelona return.

Alves, 38, agreed last week an initial contract until June 2022 to comeback to Camp Nou. He’d previously won 23 titles from 2008-16, also scoring 21 times in 391 appearances.

“You missed me, hey?” Alves joked with journalists before he entered the hospital, according to SPORT. “I am always full of surprises.”

The Brazil right-back is expected to be unveiled on Tuesday or Wednesday. He will be unable to play until January as his contract termination at Sao Paulo occurred outside the summer transfer window.
