Brazilian winger Malcom has vowed to come back “stronger than ever” after he picked up an injury that is expected to sideline him for two weeks.

Malcom, 21, picked the problem during Wednesday’s 4-1 victory against lower-league Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey. The summer buy from Bordeaux had scored the third goal on the night, prior to his late knock that caused him to leave the field in tears.

“Very happy for the result and for the goal… I will return stronger than ever,” he posted on Instagram.

This prognosis means he will definitely miss the weekend’s Catalan derby with Espanyol and the midweek Champions League clash with Tottenham.

Malcom has scored twice in nine Barca run-outs.
