Barcelona target Adrien Rabiot has informed Paris Saint-Germain he has no desire to renew talks about extending his contract that expires next summer, according to reports.

Rabiot, 23, has repeatedly rejected offers from the Ligue 1 champions to sign fresh terms. This status means the midfielder will be free to negotiate with foreign clubs from January 1.

RMC Sport have stated that the player has told PSG management this week that there is no point restarting discussions. This follows long-standing disquiet caused by October’s decision to bench him for the clash with Marseille because of disciplinary reasons, plus the club believe he already has an agreement elsewhere.

Rabiot has scored twice in 13 Ligue 1 run-outs this term.
