Senegal right-back Moussa Wague is confident he is close to achieving his boyhood dream of playing for Barcelona.

Wague, 20, joined Barca’s B side this summer when a €5 million fee was paid to Belgium’s Eupen.

Africa’s youngest goalscorer in World Cup history has steadily impressed for the reserves across three appearances and is hopeful that promotion to the seniors cannot be far away.

He told Cadena Ser: “”Since I was very little, I dreamed of playing for Barca . Now I have opened a door, so I am closer to playing with the first team.

“When I signed, they told me I could do it.

“All the ‘B’ players want to play someday, I’m here for that reason. So, I’ll do everything to get there.”
