Barcelona scouts will be present this weekend to assess the rich young talents on the field when Boca Juniors meet great rivals River Plate in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores final, according to reports.

A number of South America’s most-promising players will be taking part in the clash to decide who claims the continent’s elite club competition.

Mundo Deportivo have stated that representatives of Barca will be present at La Bombanera on Saturday night (midnight KO in the UAE) to specifically review the youngsters in action.

Midfielder Agustin Almendra and defender Leonardo Balerdi are of interest from Boca. For River, it is defender Gonzalo Montiel and midfielder Exequiel Palacios.
