Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has a hamstring tear and will be out for two to three weeks, the Spanish La Liga giants said Thursday.

Coutinho completed 90 minutes against Inter Milan on Tuesday, providing the assist for Malcom’s effort in a 1-1 draw at the San Siro.

He is, however, set to miss the rest of the month after picking up the unfortunate injury.

“Tests undertaken on Thursday morning have confirmed that Philippe Coutinho has a small rupture in the femoral biceps of his left leg,” Barcelona said.

“He will be out for approximately two to three weeks.”
