Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has been fined €800,000 fine for a nightclub fight last year.

A Munich court found the Chilean guilty of assault on a night out while he was a Bayern Munich player last season.

Munich district court fined the 31-year-old in accordance with 80 days worth of wages.

Vidal was not present for the judge’s ruling as he played in Chile’s 1-0 win over Mexico on Wednesday.

The midfielder has struggled for playing time since his move from Munich to Barcelona, only making the starting XI twice so far this season.
