Barcelona did not make an offer for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, the World Cup winner’s agent has confirmed.

Speculation had started to gather pace over the 25-year-old’s future following Jose Mourinho’s public dressing down of the former Juventus star, however, a switch to the Camp Nou was never likely during the summer transfer window.

That is according to super agent Mino Raiola.

Marca reports that is was never a possibility for the La Liga giants to secure a transfer for Pogba this summer, particularly as a potential fee could have usurped the £146m figure paid for Philippe Coutinho and £127m fee shelled out for Ousmane Dembele.
