Spanish giants Barcelona will face Boca Juniors in the traditional Joan Gamper Trophy game on August 15.

The match is set to take place just two days after the La Liga champions face Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup.

Interestingly, Boca’s star player, Cristian Pavón, has been linked with a move to Barcelona since his impressive showing for La Albiceleste in the World Cup.

8.30am – Barcelona projected to become a €1billion club by 2021

Barcelona claim they are on course for having revenues of over one billion euros by 2021 after announcing their financial results for the 2017-18 season.

The LaLiga champions revealed they had a club-record income of €914million (£808.7m), with profits of €13m (£11.5m) after tax.
