Barcelona have brought the start of their pre-season forward to Wednesday, July 11, the club confirmed on Saturday.

Ernesto Valverde will meet with his players, who have not participated in summer’s World Cup at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on that day, where they will undergo physical and medical tests.

The rest of the players will be joining up at later dates.

The Spanish giants will travel to the US on July 25, where they will play three friendlies as part of the International Champions Cup. On July 28, at Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl, they take on Tottenham Hotspur, and then AS Roma in Dallas three days later. They will then end their tour with a match against AC Milan on August 4 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
