Lionel Messi has revealed that his best decision was to stay at Barcelona as a youngster after struggling with life after moving from his homeland in Argentina.

Messi joined the Catalan outfit aged just 13 after relocating to Spain from his home city of Rosario.

Speaking to FIFA TV on the ‘best’ things in life, Messi said his best decision was: “Staying in Barcelona when things were really tough because of everything I was going through, because of how difficult it was…the distance [from home], deciding to keep chasing my dream.”

The Argentine forward also revealed his best goal was in the 2009 Champions League final against Manchester United in Rome.

He also picked Gianluigi Buffon, Manuel Neuer and Iker Casillas as the best goalkeepers he has faced.
