Barcelona could move for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita if the club are unable to agree a deal to sign Nice’s Jean Michael Seri.

While the Ivorian is top of Barca’s midfield wanted list, Blaugrana sporting director Robert Fernandez is finding it difficult to push through transfers for top summers targets that also include Ousmane Dembele and of course Philippe Coutinho.

The fact that Keita is a new man on Barcelona’s radar gives an indication of the struggles they have had in recent weeks in the transfer market.

Indeed, the Guinea international has been linked with Liverpool all summer long – but it now looks like Jurgen Klopp has shelled his interest in the 22-year-old.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca representatives watched Keita as his team went down 2-0 against Schalke in the Bundesliga last weekend.
