Resurgent Al Ain will hope for a clean sweep in the Arabian Gulf League’s monthly awards for February.

The Boss won three and drew one of their top-flight fixtures last month. This achievement was reflected in the fact that they were the only side to boast an entrant in each category, with voting now open on the division’s official website.

Kazakhstan new boy Bauyrzhan Islamkhan and assist-machine Bandar Al Ahbabi both came from their ranks to feature in the ‘Best Player’ section. They are joined by prolific Al Dhafra striker Joao Pedro, Sharjah winger Ryan Mendes and Khor Fakkan attacker Fahad Hadeed.

Al Ain’s UAE No1 Khalid Essa, Dhafra shot stopper Khalid Al Senani and Ajman’s Ali Al Hosani are competing for the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ gong. Pedro Emanuel’s lifting of the Garden City outfit into second assured his berth in the ‘Best Coach’ running, where he’s joined by Sharjah’s Abdulaziz Al Anbari and Khor Fakkan’s Goran Tufegdzic.
