The UAE Pro League held on Sunday the inaugural meeting of the elections and appeals committees at the UAEPL’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting reviewed the decision of the extraordinary general assembly about the formation of the elections and appeals committees, and assigning the elections committee to hold UAEPL board elections within 60 days of the extraordinary general assembly and ahead of the UAE Football Association board of directors’ elections.

A president and a vice-president for each committee were named during the meeting. It was decided that Mr. Mohammed Ali Amer will chair the elections committee, with lawyer Sheikha Ali Al Kaabi as his vice-president, while consultant Mohammed Abdullah Al Jabri will chair the appeals committee, with Mr. Abdullah Khamis Buamim as his vice-president.

The meeting continued with reviewing the elections regulations approved by the general assembly, then discussed the preparation of a timeline for the elections process and a nomination form for each category ahead of the electoral general assembly, which has been confirmed to take place on March 9.
