Al Ain coach Zlatko Dalic has sent out an ominous message to their Arabian Gulf League challengers by stating there is even more to come from his side despite last night’s 7-1 dismantling of Ajman.

The Boss were in relentless mood at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, Miroslav Stoch and Jires Kembo Ekoko stepping up in the absence of star attacking duo Asamoah Gyan and Omar Abdulrahman.

New signing Saeed Al Katheeri sent out a message of the host’s attacking intent, the striker claiming a brace with two headers within the first 15 minutes.

Forward Kembo Ekoko had seen a penalty saved during that spell, but added the third from close range after racing clear down the right.

Veteran Ibrahim Diaky then looped in courtesy of some suspect goalkeeping from Mutaz Abdulla to make it 4-0 at the break.

Striker Boris Kabi headed in a consolation for second-bottom Ajman before Rashid Essa’s predatory finish, Kembo Ekoko’s slide and Stoch’s powerful low drive completed the rout in the second half.

“We must not forget the value of the players who belong to Al Ain,” Dalic said.

“We have to impose our style and we have the ability to play even better, as we have created for ourselves many chances to score goals.

The players performed accurately to our technical guidance and we acquired most of the ball. We adopted high pressure on the opposition, but in the second half we did not play the same way.”
