Arabian Gulf League (AGL) new-boys Fujairah have signed Al Wasl's Emirati defender Humaid Hamed on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old, who played just seven times for Wasl last year, confirmed the move on his Instagram account, saying he was loking forward to a new challenge in the AGL.

Fujairah have already completed the signing of Algeria captain Majid Bougherra, but failed in moves for Barcelona star Xavi and Chilean Jorge Valdivia.

Xavi decided to stay with Barcelona, despite Fujairah's interest, while Valdivia's agent this week threatened to take the UAE side to FIFA after complaining that they reneged on a signed contract between both parties.
