Brazilian Marcos Paqueta has rebounded from departing Al Shabab to rejoin Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Al Gharafa for the 2014-15 season.

The 55-year-old ended his two-year spell in charge of the Dubai outfit last month after his side dropped out of the AFC Asian Champions League qualification spots into fourth, taking only two points from their final six Arabian Gulf League matches.

Paqueta is now returning to a club in which he previously enjoyed considerable success, winning consecutive league titles in 2008 and 2009.

Speaking to the media in Al Rayyan, he said: “I don’t promise to achieve anything now, but I will do my best in order to achieve what is required of me.”

The Cheetahs finished sixth in the QSL last term, under Uruguayan Diego Aguirre.
