Saez, 31, was announced as signing a one-year deal following his decision not to renew at Al Wakrah.

In a boost for a Falcons side which is expected to struggle next term, the Argentine joins them after scoring an
impressive 45 times in 77 top-flight appearances for a team which regularly battled against relegation.

“I am delighted to represent Emirates Club during the new season, and am I am very happy,” he said.

“It is a very precious trust which has been conferred upon me by the officials of Emirates Club.

“I am confident of the club’s potential and will seek to give all I have to gain the confidence of the coach and the fans.”

Change has swept over the Ras Al Khaimah-outfit after they avoided relegation from the Arabian Gulf League by one point last season.

Coach Paulo Comelli has been replaced by German veteran Theo Bucker, who impressed hugely at then promoted side Dibba Al Fujairah.

They have also opted to completely change their four-pla-yer, non-Emrati quota.

Australian centre-back Zac Anderson, Brazilian centre midfielder Augusto Cesar and Tunisia defensive midfielder Hocine Ragued were all snapped up prior to Saez.
