Alessandro Del Piero has penned an open letter to Juventus fans detailing all his noteworthy achievements during his 19 years at the club.

The 37-year-old bid a fond farewell to his adorning Bianconeri public on Sunday with a goal in his side’s 3-1 win over Atalanta, a result that preserved their unbeaten league record for the entire season.

Del Piero embarked on a lap of honour after being substituted towards the end of the match before taking possession of the Scudetto, his sixth and the club’s 28th of their illustrious history.

Del Piero could yet make an appearance in the Coppa Italia final against Napoli next weekend, but he has already said his goodbyes as he prepares for life away from the club he clearly adores.
