Strong reports from France have indicated that Arsene Wenger is being lined up as Gennero Gattuso’s replacement at AC Milan.

The 69-year-old, who ended his 22-year reign at Arsenal at the end of last season, is looking forward to returning to the game.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Fenerbahce were some of the clubs that Wenger was linked to earlier this year and now Milan has been added to the list.

According to France Football, Wenger has been negotiating with the Serie A side for some weeks and talks have finally reached a conclusion.

The report also states that the former Gunners boss will have additional responsibilities in the inner working of the San Siro-based club alongside sporting director Leonardo.
