LaLiga Academy will move to Dubai Sports World this month for the summer season and will also host a camp in Spain in July.

The region’s only scouting academy – LaLiga Academy has an array of football programs to keep children active throughout the summer months. Coaches and scouts will continue the search for top talents to give them an opportunity to play professional football with leading international and regional clubs.

As a first step, scouts will invite children from the LaLiga Academy to join the professional development team at the LaLiga High Performance Centre. During the summer programme, outstanding talents also have the opportunity to be selected to join the 21-day training clinic in Spain in August, during which they will play competitive matches against top youth teams where players can earn trials with clubs in Spain.

The programme kicks off on 17th May with a Ramadan Term. With shorter school hours, children can continue with their footballing development led by LaLiga Academy’s UEFA Pro-certified coaches. Ramadan Term will run from 17th May – 5th July 2018.

Commenting on the importance of maintaining fitness during Ramadan, Head Coach David Iglesias said, “Ramadan is a time for many young athletes in the UAE, where they need to remain active. Our Ramadan Term moves us indoors where we can continue delivering our football program in a cooler setting and allows us to develop our teams in the lead up to the summer camps in Dubai & Spain.”

Dubai’s summer camp will be delivered in partnership with Eufit, who are at the forefront of delivering leadership programs designed for the self-development of youth who wish to uncover their potential, improve fitness and gain leadership qualities. The program will deliver a four-hour interactive camp for boys and girls aged 4-16. During the summer camp young players will enjoy playing football while developing their technical skills, fitness, nutrition and leadership qualities to unlock their inner athletes. The summer camp will run from 8th July – 20th August 2018.

“Our Dubai summer camp programme is comprehensive allowing us to not only work on the importance of physical and technical fitness, but to also guide our players to understand the importance of nutrition and recovery”, continued Iglesias.

Players can also travel to Spain in July for the highly anticipated LaLiga Academy Experience, an 11-day trip to enhance young footballer’s skills in the beautiful Andalucía area of Spain which includes football training, competitive matches against their Spanish counterparts while exposing them to the culture of the region. LaLiga Academy Spain Tour runs from 17th July – 27th July 2018.
