Former Man United man Dimitar Berbatov appears to have lashed out at ex-England goalkeeper David James in his latest Instagram post.

The Bulgarian striker and James had been working together for Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters since the former goalkeeper took over as Head Coach in January after Rene Meulensteen was sacked for a poor start to the season.

However Berbatov, who scored one goal in seven games during the 2017/18 campaign, doesn’t seem to have enjoyed playing under James over the last two months.

In his latest Instagram story, the striker used several hashtags which suggested he wasn’t impressed with James’ style of play, including: “Worst wanna be coach ever” and “Chip the ball to the striker’s chest and we take it from there”.

Kerala Blasters failed to qualify for the Indian Super League play-offs, finishing sixth in the table.
