A goal feast in Europe had football fans salivating and another set of mouthwatering clashes are on the menu as the domestic action returns this weekend.

Big games are on offer across all five major European leagues, so we’ve picked out the best from each and offered our predictions.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Manchester United are in need of a result after dropping five points in their last two games, including a shock defeat to Huddersfield last weekend.

Having been level with league leaders Manchester City before the international break, the mini-slump has seen United lose crucial ground in the title race, although there’s still a long way to go.

The Red Devils’ loss to Huddersfield allowed Tottenham to draw level on points with the Manchester side in second place, and Saturday’s fixture is the perfect opportunity for Mauricio Pochettino’s team to make a statement.

However, they’ll have to do so without star man Harry Kane, who has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Prediction

1-0

Jose Mourinho vs Mauricio Pochettino

LA LIGA

Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona

Athletic Bilbao have only won once in their last nine games across all competitions, including just three league wins all season.

One of those came against Sevilla, however, which shows that Athletic still have the ability to raise their game against tough opposition.

They’ll need to show that fortitude against Barcelona, who are yet unbeaten this season.

Ernesto Valverde’s have looked slightly below their best in their last two La Liga fixtures, and a trip to San Mames is never easy.

Prediction

1-2

Jose Angel Ziganda vs Ernesto Valverde

BUNDESLIGA

Bayern vs RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich have been experiencing a resurgence since Jupp Heynckes’ return to management.

Heynckes will face his stiffest test yet as Munich entertain RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side shocked Borussia Dortmund two weeks ago, and took Munich to penalties in their midweek DFB Cup clash, although the Bavarians ultimately prevailed.

Still, Leipzig’s form has been enough to trigger talk of a three-pronged title race, and another stunning result in southern Germany would definitely add fuel to that conversation.

Prediction

3-2

Jupp Heynckes vs Ralph Hasenhuttl

SERIE A

AC Milan vs Juventus

The much-touted Chinese investment has not begun to pay dividends yet for AC Milan, who are currently 8th in Serie A, 12 points off the lead and nine behind Juventus.

Milan star defender Leonardo Bonucci will miss a re-match against his former club after he picked up a two game ban for a red card against Genoa last weekend.

Max Allegri’s side should still have too much firepower for Milan.

Kick-off

Saturday, 8PM (GST)

Prediction

1-3

Vincenzo Montella vs Massimiliano Allegri

LIGUE 1

PSG vs Nice

PSG star Neymar is set to miss this fixture after being sent off against Marseille last weekend.

The Parisians nearly suffered their first loss of the season in that outing, only for Edinson Cavani to come to the rescue with a stunning late free-kick to salvage a draw.

Nice have made a shaky start to the season after finishing third in Ligue 1 last campaign, having lost six of their opening 10 games.

They have the quality to trouble PSG, but the Ligue 1 leaders should have too much talent for Mario Balotelli and company.

Kick-off

Friday, 10:45PM (GST)

Prediction

2-1

Unai Emery vs Lucien Favre
