Neymar apparently called for UEFA to expel Barcelona from the Champions League following allegations his former club failed to pay a loyalty bonus.

The 25-year-old left Camp Nou to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer and according to Spanish publication AS (h/t Sport), asked for his previous employers to be kicked out, but the request was denied.

UEFA were unequivocal in their response, per AS (h/t Sport): “According to their report, UEFA turned down the idea and although they responded to Neymar’s lawyers, they didn’t give the slightest thought to agreeing to it.”

This latest accusation is one in a string of allegations made from both sides with Barca threatening legal action against the Brazilian citing a breach of contract amounting to €8.5.million after his exit.

Neymar and his representatives fired back with a suit of their own over an unpaid loyalty bonus stretching back to November 2016 said to be worth €26million.

This latest revelation will no doubt add more fire to an already intensely sour fallout.
