After losing out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, Chelsea have been linked with making a move for Real Madrid frontman Alvaro Morata.

The Premier League champions are in the market for a new striker with Diego Costa set to return to Atletico Madrid.

However, with Madrid holding out for a fee close to £80million and the club in a strong bargaining position despite Morata’s reported desire to leave for the Premier League, a deal looks a long way from coming to fruition.

But if the 24-year-old is to leave Madrid for Chelsea, former Spain midfielder Gazika Mendieta is adamant he will fit right into Antonio Conte’s system.

Speaking at the Star Sixes tournament in London, Mendieta explained why he believes a move to Chelsea would be the right one for Morata.
