LUCAS LEIVA

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is a target of Lazio as the Serie A side look to sign a replacement for AC Milan-bound Lucas Biglia.

According to Calciomercato, Lazio are keen on signing the 30-year-old Brazilian who has one year left on his deal at Anfield.

Lucas is currently Liverpool’s longest serving player but having fallen down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp a concrete offer elsewhere could see him end over 10 years of service to the Reds.

His former club Gremio are also said to be in the running with Klopp understood to be willing to allow Lucas to leave should he wish to do so.

ANDER HERRERA

Barcelona target Ander Herrera is set to be rewarded with a new contract from Manchester United.

A report in Sport says United have issued a hands off warning to the Spanish giants who were hoping to explore the option of reuniting him with his former boss at Athletic Bilbao Ernesto Valverde.

Herrera emerged as a key on-field general for Jose Mourinho last season and while his performances have earned the admiring glances of Barcelona there’s almost no way the United boss would be willing to let him leave Old Trafford.

The Spain international joined United from Bilbao in 2014 penning a four-year deal with an option for a further 12 months but he is set to agree an extension which will keep him at the club until 2021 and net him £150,000 per week.

KYLIAN MBAPPE

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger held a three-hour discussion with Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe last month.

According to France Football, Wenger tried to convince the 18-year-old, who returned to training with the Ligue 1 champions yesterday, that he should follow in the footsteps of Gunners legend Thierry Henry.

You can’t knock the man for trying but if Mbappe is going to move anywhere this summer it’s going to be Real Madrid.

All indications is that he favours a move to La Liga over the Premier League but given how hotly Arsenal have pursued him, it’s probably fair to say they are the side he would opt for if he did fancy a move to England.
