Pakistan football team striker Shahlyla Baloch dies in Karachi car crash

The footballer’s sister Raheela told Dawn news that the incident occurred when the car hit a pole.

Saqib Iqbal Memon, Senior Superintendent Police (SP) South, confirmed the collision happened late on Wednesday night.

He said: “Fadeian Baloch was coming from restaurant Do Darya towards Village in his Toyota Corolla car with his cousin Shahlyla Baloch. On the way, when they reached the turning near the Emaar building, he lost control and the car hit the footpath and then against a barrier.”

The police official said Shahlyla, who played for the Balochistan women’s football team, died in the accident and legal action is being taken against those responsible.
