Sixteen teams will battle it out for the sixth Mubadala Football Tournament, set to take place at Zayed Sports City’s main stadium from April 3-7.

Through this and other community engagement activities, Mubadala encourages members of the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle by playing a sport they enjoy in a fun and competitive environment.

Nadine Saleh Hassan, Head of Integrated Marketing and Outreach at Mubadala said, “The tournament has become a well-established platform in the Capital and we’re excited to welcome players – both new and returning – to this year’s edition. We are proud to have loyal teams that have been participating in the tournament since its inception in 2011, which is testament to its success.”

The competition this year will be fierce with a team from Abu Dhabi Sports Council bringing together some ex-professional Emirati players to participate in the tournament.

The Mubadala Football Tournament is open to male youth who are 16 years and above.  Last year, team HOMKO were crowned champions following a 2-0 win over Salesbury after an exciting penalty shoot-out.
