Sharjah won the toss and elected to field first, with Cambridge looking threatening through openers Ahaan and Ronak. Raunak Pandey, after initially managing to rotate the strike well, went into a complete rut as he played out two maiden overs to offspinner Amrit Pal.

The pressure mounted by Amrit Pal led to Rounaks dismissal on 10 off 32 balls. Affan Abdullah, coming in at number six, relied on his hand eye co-ordination to score an important 18 off 7 balls.

Chasing a target of 112 in 20 overs for a team like SIS shouldn’t have been a task but Raunak Pandey came to the rescue as he bagged four wickets for 24 runs. The Sharjah Indian School batsmen failed to put up partnerships and that led to the wrap for only 81 runs on board in 14.5 overs. Aryan Shahs over where he picked up two wickets for four runs was also a crucial point in the game. After calculations, it showed that Cambridge International Schools +0.45 run rate was better than Sharjah Indian Schools +0.21 run rate.
