The UBL Floodlit Twenty20 Cup quarter finals provided exhilarating fare in three games with one won on the final delivery, one with a ball to spare and the other by five runs.

Interface Transworld’s eighth wicket pair Nashwin Nasir (12) and Mohammed Kadeer (2) put on a 21-run stand without being separated to pull off stunning last-ball win over Al Faraa at the Sheikh Zayed stadium.

Mubeen Mughal smashed 17 not out from seven deliveries to lift William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana to a six-wicket triumph with a ball to spare over Alubond Tigers.

Faisal Butt stroked 52 from 54 balls and Mohammed Shafiq a 14-ball 21 but it was Mughal who completed the job hammering four fours for his team to knock off the winning runs after restricting Alubond to 126 for seven.

One Stop Tourism contained for 114 for nine hit back through their spinners – Mohammed Azhar, Mohammed Qasim and Rohan Mustafa – to dismiss Ibsons to 109.

Ibsons were well-placed at 60 for two when Mustafa provided a double blow by removing Baber Malik (25) and Shahzad Malik (4). Azhar and Qasim then bowled in tandem to take six wickets between them.

Danube Lions sent United Bank Limited (UBL) packing from the tournament they sponsor.

Fakhar Zaman, the one-drop batsman, hit 61 not out from 32 balls to see his side through by six wickets and 3.3 overs to spare.
