Alubond Holdings seal Mulk T20 Cup title in Dubai

Alubond Tigers beat Ibsoms Cricket Club by seven wickets to lift the Mulk Holdings T20 Challenge Cup at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai.

Batting first, Ibsons were bowled out for just 100 runs in 19.1 overs. Alubond Tigers struck the first blow in the first over itself and then claimed wickets at regular intervals.

Rohan with 26 and Shehzad with 24 along with Misbah (21) were the top scorers for Ibsons. Alubond bowlers Nasir Aziz, Sultan Ahmed and Amjad claimed two wickets each.

Alubond openers Prasanth Braggs and Shehzad Manna started their innings with a bang, scoring 47 and 38 runs respectively that included a total of five hits over the ropes and nine fours.

The winner’s trophy was given away by Dr Shafi Ul Mulk and Amair ul Mulk, joint venture partners of Mulk Holdings, along with a cash prize of Dh15,000.

Other major prizes which included cash prizes of Dh500 along with a trophy were for Best Batsman won by Habib Gazi of Ibson.

The Best Bowler award was bagged by Nasir Aziz of Alubond Tigers.

While Shehzad Manna of Alubond Tigers was adjudged Man of the Final, Salman Babar of Interface Transworld was named as the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance throughout the competition.

The tournament was organised under the patronage of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and held under the auspices of Ajman Cricket Council.
