Emirates Cricket Board partners with Pinsent Masons to take cricket to Dubai Emirati schools

Emirates Cricket Board on Sunday announced that the law firm Pinsent Masons will sponsor othe ECB’s Emirati Development Programme (EDP).

Working closely with the Ministry of Education’s Curriculum Development Unit (Physical and Health Education), four schools have been identified to bring the EDP into Dubai Emirati schools commencing late November.

“Emirates Cricket is exceptionally pleased to announce we have partnered with Pinsent Masons to bring Cricket to Emirati boys across Dubai.

“We are very grateful they resonate with the values that cricket imparts to the community as well as to the individual, and we are delighted they have shown commitment to developing and growing the indigenous grass-roots talent through the EDP. We look forward to building a strong, long-term relationship with them.” said Zayed Abbas, UAE Cricket Spokesperson.

Dubai-based schools that will see the program delivered include, Abdulla Bin Anas Elementary School for Boys, Ahmad Bin Slyem Boys School, Al Ahmadiah Model School, and Al-Qiyam Boys Model School.

Leading the program is Emirates Cricket Development Manager, Andrew Russell, with Emirates Cricket Development Officer, Shahzada Saleem (Qasim) attending one school, per day per week, coaching the students in the values and life skills cricket brings, as well as the components of the game itself.
