Saqlain Haider hammered a sensational unbeaten double century to help Advantage Motors start their campaign in the Dulsco Ramadan Cricket Tournament in stunning style, racing to a 234-run victory against Amity Gladiators.

At Zabeel Park grounds, Haider was unstoppable as he reached 209 not out, scoring the bulk of Advantage Motors’s total of 272-2 in 20 overs.

In reply, Amity Gladiators were bowled out for a paltry 38 in 16.3 overs.

Opting to bat first, Advantage Motors lost two early wickets with Adnan Arif (6) and Ranjit Mani (0) back in the pavilion in the second over itself. It was Haider all the way after that.

Taking the onus on himself, he hit big shots at will. His partner in the third wicket stand was Mickey Sandhu, who just contributed 30 runs in 36 balls as Haider raced to his century and then his double century in no time.

Off the 80 balls Man-of-the-Match Haider faced, he hit 23 sixes and eight boundaries as Advantage Motors reached a formidable 272-2.

After their bowlers, it was the turn of Gladiators batsmen to face the music.

None of them could get into double figures with extras being the top score at 20. Faisal Khalil, Krishna Kumar and Hitesh Parekh claimed two wickets each as Gladiators innings folded on 38 in the 17th over.
