After a promising start to the game, Karachi Kings threw away a winning position to fall to a Super Over defeat to an already-eliminated Lahore Qalandars side on Sunday night.

While Babar Azam and Lendl Simmons impressed with half-centuries, it was a tough day at the office for Shahid Afridi.

Here, we analyse his performance from the match at Dubai International Stadium:

STATISTICS:

RUNS: 6

BALLS: 2

FOURS: 0

SIXES: 1

STRIKE-RATE: 300.00

OVERS BOWLED: 2

WICKETS: 0

ECONOMY: 7.50

MAIDENS: 0

RUNS CONCEDED: 15

FOURS: 1

SIXES: 1

30-SECOND REPORT

Afridi had earlier recovered from a troublesome knee snare three wickets against Multan Sultans on Friday. But it was a different story on Sunday. ‘Lala’ hit a six and was then sent back the pavilion by Shaheen Afridi off his second delivery. With the ball, only bowled two overs without any success.

GOT RIGHT

With the ball in hand, caused problems with his change of pace and length. Bowled six dot balls in his two overs.

GOT WRONG

Can’t blame him for his own dismissal considering the pace and length Shaheen Afridi bowled. Even the two boundaries he conceded were well crafted strokes by Fakhar Zaman.

VERDICT: 6/10

Just wasn’t Afridi’s day even though he did end up hitting two sixes in three balls – the other being the one he hit off the last ball of the Super Over with the match already lost. Even so, Karachi won’t be too disappointed.
