After picking Pakistan star Shahid Afridi from Peshawar Zalmi, another significant trade was finalised on Thursday with Karachi Kings trading Sohail Khan with Lahore Qalandars for wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan.

Khan, who was the leading bowler last season, is part of a deal which will give Karachi the first pick in the gold category.

In return, Lahore take up Karachi’s fifth pick in the same category.

Elsewhere, Quetta Gladiators have decided to retain skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and former England star Kevin Pietersen.

The franchaise – runners-up in the previous two editions of the Pakistan Super League – is also retaining Mohammad Nawaz, Anwar Ali and Hassa Khan.

However, Ahmed Shehzad and Tymal Mills are set to be released by the franchise.
