Vikram Dutt of Delhi Private School Sharjah is the Sport360° Coach of the Week after DPS Sharjah's emphatic form over the weekend, recording two wins over a matter of hours in the under-15 category of the National School League. 

Vikram is a former player himself having lined up for Mumbai during the 80's. He cites particular games against the West Indies and England as the most engaging contests he's ever played through.

The 6am training sessions Vikram is currently putting his DPS Sharjah team through has influenced their stauts as group leaders in the Sharjah section of the National School League.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not coaching: Watching football and badminton. 

What is your goal as a coach: To make my team, DPS Sharjah, become the best they possibly can and win the National School League.

How have DPS Sharjah been preparing for the National School League:  We train five days a week for one hour. When it's dark we still have to come. The important thing is to prepare the team in the best and most consistent way possible.

What’s your view on the NSL: It’s a great competition and a great platform for the young cricketers of the UAE. It's only going to keep generating interest and improve players. As a team, we now have something to work towards. 

What’s an average day like for you as a coach: I'm up early every morning to train the team. Even when I'm not coaching, I'm thinking cricket. It's a busy lifestyle and I'm thankful to be involved amongst such a great set of players. 

What's your advice for young cricketers: It's a team game. If you play as a team, you'll never lose. If you start to be an individual or selfish, you'll never win.
