The Sunrisers Hyderabad fell at the final hurdle in the IPL final on Sunday night, going down to Chennai Super Kings 178 for 6 to 181 for 2. It was a tale of missed opportunities as Sunrisers had their chances but lost wickets and gave away runs at crucial times to lose to CSK for the fourth time this season.

Here our are player ratings for SRH:

3 – Shreevats Goswami: Poor call saw him run himself out going for the second in just the second over, not a great start for SRH

6 – Shikhar Dawan: A run a ball 26 at the top including two fours and  a six, will be disappointed to get out when he did when a big score beckoned

7 – Kane Williamson: Slow start, and then stop start throughout his innings, got out at a crucial time falling to a wide sucker ball from Karn

6 – Shakib al Hasan: Got things moving with 23 runs off just 15 balls, two fours and one six, but again got out just when runs were starting to flow

8 – Yusuf Pathan: Broke the shackles with some big hitting when it was needed most, a superb 45 off just 25 balls with four fours and two sixes

2 – Deepak Hooda: Needless throw gave away five runs at the start of CSK innings, and only three runs before Ngidi claimed his wicket

8 – Carlos Braithwaite: started with a huge maximum down the ground, hit two more in crucial cameo, took the wicket of Raina

7 – Rashid Khan: Tidy first two overs, then brought back when game was almost won, even he couldn’t save Sunrisers

7 – Bhuvneshwar Kumar: started beautifully with a maiden getting the ball to curve away from Watson, and finished with a tidy 0-17

4 – Siddarth Kaul: poor first over, going for 16 and didn’t improve with the second, going for the same.

6 – Sandeep Sharma: Tight in his first couple of overs and took the crucial wicket of Du Plessis but Watson took him for 26 from his last over
