Delhi Daredevils take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Thursday. Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi are languishing at the bottom of the table and although they still mathematically stand a chance to make the playoffs, it will take an extraordinary set of results to go their way for that to happen.

Sunrisers, on the other hand, are sitting pretty at the top of table after a run of five consecutive wins. Kane Williamson’s men have won eight of the 10 matches they have played so far and are looking like the team to beat in the competition.

The visitors could assure themselves of a spot in the playoffs with three matches to spare if they can get the better of the Daredevils on Thursday. For Delhi, their fortunes are not in their own hands any more but a victory would be the minimum they require if they are to harbour any brief hopes of a top-four spot.
