Virat Kohli is admired not only for his outrageous batting talent but also for his unwavering dedication to keeping himself supremely fit.

The India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper is one of the fittest players in the cricketing world and is known to maintain a very healthy and disciplined diet regime along with his rigorous workout drills.

So it came as no surprise when the 29-year-old posted a video on Twitter in which he sprinted to three singles in the space of 8.9 seconds.

A padded-up Kohli then challenged his Royal Challengers team-mate Mandeep Singh to beat his timing.

“Think you can run faster than me? Here’s my fastest time for 3 runs. Pad up and send a video of your fastest 3 runs mentioning #NewLevels and @PUMACricket . @mandeeps12 let’s see if you can beat 8.90 sec,” Kohli wrote in the post accompanying the video.

Kohli is considered to be one of the fastest runners between the wickets and judging by the time, it will take some doing for Mandeep to beat his skipper.

While his fitness levels remain sky high, Kohli’s Royal Challengers have not had the best of times in the IPL this year with the outfit suffering four defeats in their six games so far.

Currently lying in the penultimate position in the league table, Kohli and his men will be in action on Sunday evening when they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders at home.
