While the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches might have been shifted to Pune due to the Cauvery water dispute, spirits in the Chennai Super Kings camp remain high.

After brilliant victories in both their matches of the campaign so far, head coach Stephen Fleming and South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis turned chefs for the rest of the camp.

New Zealand lamb chops seemed to be on the menu as off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to post a video of a shirtless Du Plessis donning the chef’s hat in the team hotel on Wednesday night.

The two-time IPL champions have only just returned to the competition after serving a two-year suspension. They secured a last-gasp victory over defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener before beating Kolkata Knight Riders on their homecoming in Chennai on Tuesday.

That will however be the only match to be played in front of their passionate and loyal home crowd this season after the decision was made on Wednesday to shift the franchise’s remaining games to Pune.

The decision was made due to ongoing unrest over a water dispute between the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka that saw heavy protests outside the M.A Chidambaram stadium before the side’s clash against Kolkata Knight Riders.

The MS Dhoni-led franchise will now take on Kings XI Punjab in their next match, which will take place on Sunday at Mohali.
