It’s no secret that David Warner has been one of the best batsmen in the history of the Indian Premier League [IPL].

The Australian started off his IPL career at the Delhi Daredevils and spent his first five seasons at the franchise. He performed well for Delhi, but has been at his best since joining Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014.

Warner has spent four seasons so far at Sunrisers and managed to notch up 500+ runs at an average of over 40 and a strike-rate of over 140 every single year during his time with the Hyderabad-based franchise.

Warner’s best season came in 2016 when he led Sunrisers to the IPL title. His contributions with the bat were pivotal in the team’s success as he scored 848 runs in 17 matches.

In 2017, Warner currently heads the leading run-scorers chart and should win the Orange Cap unless Gautam Gambhir does something extraordinary.
