The opening match will be a repeat of last year’s final with SunRisers Hyderabad [SRH] and Royal Challengers Bangalore [RCB] facing off against each other on April 5.

SunRisers will play hosts at their Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The SunRisers defeated RCB in last year’s final by eight runs in Bengaluru.

The final of the tournament will be held on May 21, with the venue again being Hyderabad.

Qualifier 1 will be played on May 16, the Eliminator on May 17 and Qualifier 2 on May 19. The venues for the qualifiers and eliminator are yet to be announced

The auction for this season will be held on February 20 with a total of 351 players up for grabs. Big names in the auction include Ben Stokes, Kagiso Rabada, Eoin Morgan, Mitchell Johnson and Ishant Sharma.
