No play was possible at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday due to the inclement weather conditions, with umpires Ian Gould and Richard Kettleborough deciding to call things off around 2pm local time.

India finished the opening day on 80 without loss in response to South Africa's 214 all out, with Murali Vijay 28 not out and Shikhar Dhawan 45no for the hosts.

India are 1-0 up in the four-Test series after winning the opening match in Mohali by 108 runs.
